These international agreements govern the recognition of engineering educational qualifications and professional competence.<\/p>\n<p>Through the Educational Accords and Competence Agreements members of the International Engineering Alliance establish and enforce internationally bench-marked standards for engineering education and expected competence for engineering practice.<\/p>\n<p>In December 2015, the International Engineering Alliance and the World Federation of Engineering Organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Raise awareness \u2013 of the importance of accreditation.<\/li>\n<li>Build commitment \u2013 for the development of national bodies.<\/li>\n<li>Build capacity \u2013 of national bodies to prepare for IEA mentoring.<\/li>\n<li>Support national bodies \u2013 to join the IEA accords and agreements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i class=\"fa fa-internet-explorer fa-2x\" style=\"color: #115578;\"><\/i> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieagreements.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IEA Website<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5 class=\"heading-horizontal\" style=\"margin:20px 0 40px 0;\"><span><a id=\"iso\"><\/a>ISO (International Organization for Standardization)<\/span><\/h5>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-14201 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/isologo_big.jpg\" alt=\"WFEO and ISO\" width=\"180\" \/>ISO is an independent, non-governmental international organization with a membership of 162 national standards bodies.<\/p>\n<p>Through its members, it brings together experts to share knowledge and develop voluntary, consensus-based, market relevant International Standards that support innovation and provide solutions to global challenges.<\/p>\n<p>WFEO is a partner in the ISO 37001 anti-bribery management systems standard project and plays a special role by being a liaison organization to the ISO project committee and by providing a chair of the drafting education and capacity building worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>IFEES is proud to be leading the effort in connecting the world\u2019s engineering education societies and leveraging our members\u2019 collective Its members are national associations of consulting engineers.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1913, FIDIC is charged with promoting and implementing the consulting engineering industry\u2019s strategic goals on behalf of its Member Associations and to disseminate information and resources of interest to its members.
