The WFEO Standing Technical Committee on Information and Communication (WFEO-CIC<\/a>) hosted by the Institution of Engineers, India (IEI<\/a>) partnered with the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM<\/a>) to host the International Seminar on Internet of Things (IoT)<\/b> on 13th May in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The seminar attracted more than 200 engineering and IT experts from Malaysia and 9 other nations.<\/p>\n

The Guest of Honour, Hon. Deputy Minister, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI<\/a>) Malaysia, YB Datuk Dr. Abu Bakar bin Mohamed Diah, noted in his Opening Speech that IoT is on the country\u2019s agenda as Science, Technology and Innovation agenda to accelerate development.<\/p>\n

The Vice President of WFEO and chair of the WFEO-CIC, Mr. S.S.Rathore<\/a>, expressed in his Opening Address that the WFEO CIC will be making efforts to spread the knowledge concerning Information and Communication Technology (ICT) so that more and more people, engineers in particular, understand why and how ICT can help in transferring the industrial \/ agricultural societies into information society.<\/p>\n
