For the third time the European Engineers\u2019 Day<\/b> was co-organised by the European Council of Engineering Chambers (ECEC<\/a>), the European Federation of National Engineering Associations (FEANI<\/a>) and the European Council of Civil Engineers (ECCE<\/a>) together with the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE<\/a>).<\/p>\n

This time it took place in Vienna, Austria, on 5 October 2017 and led to a high-level discussion about possible ways and potential obstacles to securing the availability of excellent engineering solutions in Europe as overcoming the challenges of today\u2019s societal developments will, to a considerable degree, depend on the availability of engineering excellence.<\/p>\n

As EU-Commissioner Violeta Bulc<\/a> stated in her video message: “There is indeed a need for engineering excellence in Europe, as transport clearly shows. For building transport infrastructure, nothing less than engineering excellence is sufficient”<\/i>.<\/p>\n
