It aims to recognize the elements conferring a given tsunami hazard level to a study area or population, considering the regional framework of risk; to learn the modern techniques for quick assessment of damage in affected areas useful for timely response and first aid; and to understand the basis of artificial intelligence using big data to support decisions during the phases of early warning and response.<\/p>\n<p>The course include five modules and is available in English, with translation in Spanish. The curriculum includes learning exercises, links to reference material and a printable certificate of completion can be requested.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Module 1 &#8211; Lessons from the past tsunami events and future perspectives<\/li>\n<li>Module 2 &#8211; Tsunamis: modeling technology and its application for tsunami warning <\/li>\n<li>Module 3 &#8211; Tsunami Effects on Infrastructure <\/li>\n<li>Module 4 &#8211; Artificial Intelligence and Remote sensing technology for tsunami damage <\/li>\n<li>Module 5 &#8211; Modeling tsunami evacuations <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<hr width=\"60%\">\n<\/center><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i><strong>Inscripci\u00f3n abierta<\/strong> para la primera edici\u00f3n del curso online <strong>&#8220;Gesti\u00f3n del riesgo de desastres relacionados con tsunamis&#8221;<\/strong>, que se ofrece a trav\u00e9s de la <a href=\"https:\/\/grdcursos.cip.org.pe\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">plataforma del Comit\u00e9 de Gesti\u00f3n del Riesgo de Desastres (WFEO-CDRM)<\/a>. El curso es completamente gratuito, comenz\u00f3 el 6 de marzo y debe completarse antes el 10 de abril.<\/p>\n<p>Este curso es un proyecto conjunto entre el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/committee-disaster-risk-management\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">CDRM de la Federaci\u00f3n Mundial de Asociaciones de Ingenieros (WFEO-CDRM)<\/a> y el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cip.org.pe\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Colegio de Ingenieros del Per\u00fa (CIP)<\/a>. Su objetivo es reconocer los elementos que confieren un determinado nivel de peligro de tsunami a una zona de estudio o a una poblaci\u00f3n, teniendo en cuenta el marco regional de riesgo; aprender las t\u00e9cnicas modernas para la evaluaci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida de los da\u00f1os en las zonas afectadas, \u00fatiles para la respuesta oportuna y los primeros auxilios; y comprender las bases de la inteligencia artificial utilizando big data para apoyar las decisiones durante las fases de alerta temprana y respuesta.<\/p>\n<p>El curso incluye cinco m\u00f3dulos y est\u00e1 disponible en ingl\u00e9s, con traducci\u00f3n al espa\u00f1ol.
