The recording is available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cip.org.pe\/events\/la-ingenieria-mundial-en-tiempos-de-la-covid-19\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">in this page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The event acknowledged the extraordinary times and the work of engineering and engineers in using advanced technologies to meet the challenges of COVID-19 and beyond. It was moderated by Sr. Richard Stoddart.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Flash-CIP-Webinar.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"623\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23580\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Flash-CIP-Webinar.png 750w, https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Flash-CIP-Webinar-300x249.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:90%;margin-left:5px;\">Speakers at the online webinar<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Speakers were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prof. Gong Ke, President, WFEO, on <strong>Protect Human life from COVID-19 and Built Back Better by using emerging technologies in engineering<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/members\/Webinars\/CIP_Global_Engg_COVID-19\/Dr-Gong-Ke.pdf\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">see the presentation<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Dr Marlene Kanga, Immediate Past President, WFEO, spoke on <strong>Global Governance and Partnerships for engineering collaboration in the context of COVID-19 and beyond<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/members\/Webinars\/CIP_Global_Engg_COVID-19\/Dra-Marlene-Kanga.pdf\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">see the presentation<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Dr Vilas Mujumdar, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asce.org\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)<\/a> and former Executive Council member of WFEO, on <strong>Developing Community Resilience \u2013 Post COVID-19<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/members\/Webinars\/CIP_Global_Engg_COVID-19\/Dr-Vilas-Mujumdar.pdf\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">see the presentation<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Carlos Herrera Descalzi, Dean of the Peruvian Engineering Association, presented on <strong>Peru in the context of COVID-19: a perspective from CIP<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The webinar was held in Spanish and English with simultaneous interpretation which enabled engagement with engineers throughout Peru and internationally. The webinar was attended by nearly 3000 delegates via various on-line platforms and there was a stream of questions from interested engineers after the presentations.
