\nAn important milestone was achieved in June 2020 at the annual meetings of the International Engineering Alliance (IEA)<\/a> when the WFEO National Member of Costa Rica,
\nThe Colegio Federado de Ingenieros y de Arquitectos de Costa Rica (CFIA)<\/a>, became a signatory of the Washington Accord<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\"\"WFEO congratulates CFIA on this very important achievement which will enable it to support the development of its engineering education system to internationally recognised benchmarks. We hope that the current projects at WFEO to mentor another national members on their journey will also be successful. <\/p>\n

CFIA is the professional engineering and architecture organization in Costa Rica created by law in 1903 and which provides CFIA with the authority to regulate, control and develop professional practice for engineering and architecture. The recognition of CFIA as a signatory is the result of a journey that started in 2003. CFIA was mentored and supported on its journey by WFEO National Member Engineers Canada<\/a>.<\/p>\n
