{"id":26277,"date":"2021-04-12T18:19:12","date_gmt":"2021-04-12T16:19:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/?p=26277"},"modified":"2021-04-26T15:57:10","modified_gmt":"2021-04-26T13:57:10","slug":"international-conference-on-engineering-education-accreditation-iceea-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/international-conference-on-engineering-education-accreditation-iceea-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"International Conference on Engineering Education Accreditation \u2013 ICEEA 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/MEngC_ICEEA.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"711\" height=\"384\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-25063\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/MEngC_ICEEA.png 711w, https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/MEngC_ICEEA-300x162.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 711px) 100vw, 711px\" \/><br \/>\nThe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.myanmarengc.org\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Myanmar Engineering Council (MEngC)<\/a> hosted the <strong>International Conference on Engineering Education Accreditation, ICEEA 2021<\/strong> between 14 and 16 January 2021 and intended to bring academia from the Asia Pacific region and internationally to share and exchange their experience and insights from their engineering education and accreditation practice perspectives.<\/p>\n<p>ICEEA 2021 provided information on the development of practices for quality assurance systems, accreditation systems, and best practice in international and local engineering education.<\/p>\n<p>ICEEA 2021 Plenary Speakers included : <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>International and Myanmar Engineering Education and Practice Leaders, <\/li>\n<li>Engineering Professionals and Experts from Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Electricity and Energy, <\/li>\n<li>the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieagreements.org\/accords\/washington\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Washington Accord of International Engineering Alliance (lEA)<\/a>, <\/li>\n<li>the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), <\/li>\n<li>the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.feiap.org\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Federation of Engineering Institutions of Asia and the Pacific (FEIAP)<\/a>, <\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abet.org\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, USA (ABET)<\/a>,  <\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/faeo.org\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Federation of African Engineering Organizations (FAEO)<\/a>, <\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.engineersaustralia.org.au\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Engineers Australia<\/a>,<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/english.cast.org.cn\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">China Association for Science and Technology<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieet.org.tw\/Pages\/index.aspx\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET)<\/a> accreditation body<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ptc.org.ph\/accredited-engineering-programs\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Philippines Technological Council (PTC)<\/a> accreditation body<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ies.org.sg\/Accreditation\/EAB10249\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES)<\/a> accreditation body.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Conference was chaired by Prof. Dr Charlie Than, President of Myanmar Engineering Council and Chair of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/committee-education-in-engineering\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">WFEO Committee on Education in Engineering (CEIE)<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Keynote speakers included <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/gong_ke\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Prof Gong Ke<\/a>, WFEO President, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/executive-board\/#Marlene_Kanga\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Dr Marlene Kanga<\/a> WFEO Immediate Past President and Em.
