The focus was on foresight combined with strategic recommendations for university leaders, research funders and policymakers in Europe and the UK. <\/p>\n<p>The target audience of the final report will be <i>vice-chancellors of universities, leaders of the European Research Council and the UKRI and leaders in science policy in the UK government and the European Commission<\/i>. <\/p>\n<p>This event was organised by a joint <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cesaer.org\/task-forces\/task-force\/?id=6406\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Task Force Key TESAERechnologies<\/a> chaired by Professor Max Lu, President and Vice-Chancellor of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surrey.ac.uk\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">University of Surrey<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>WFEO Immediate Past president <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/executive-board\/#Marlene_Kanga\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Dr Marlene Kanga<\/a> was invited to present on changes in technologies and implications for research and education to enable a &#8220;Safe Equitable and Secure Society&#8221;
