The meetings were hosted by Engineers Australia, the national member for Australia. Li (China), A. Lopez (Italy), N. Matalanga (Kenya), N. Vasoya (India).<\/li>\n<li>The following representatives were elected for two-year terms: K. Chehab (Lebanon), O. Sanchez (Costa Rica), T. Sancho (Spain).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Mr. Seng Chuan Tan was confirmed as Treasurer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Congratulations to all those who were elected, WFEO looks forward to your leadership and your contributions.<\/p>\n<p>Other highlights included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The approval of the amended <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/governing_documents\/WFEO_Constitution_approved_nov_2019.pdf\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Constitution<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/governing_documents\/WFEO_ROP_&#038;_Annexes_Approved_Melbourne_2019.pdf\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Rules of procedures<\/a> which increases the representation of international members at the Executive Council from 6 to 8 and national members from 8 to 11 and also rationalises the member categories, introducing a new member category of Distinguished Fellow, as well as other changes to the Rules of Procedures to improve the governance and operation of the organisation.<\/li>\n<li>The approval of the amended fee structure which consists of the same fee for all international members and a reduced fee for national members with a very low UNESCO rating.<\/li>\n<li>The renewal of the hosts of standing committees as follows:\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/committee-engineering-for-innovative-technologies\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Committee for Engineering and Innovative Technologies<\/a> (CEIT \u2013 AI and Big Data) \u2013 China, Chair Prof. Jing Peng<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/committee-information-and-communication\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Committee for Information and Communication<\/a> (Industry 4.0 and Smart Cities), India, Chair Dr. T.M. Gunaraja<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/committee-women-in-engineering\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Committee for Women in Engineering<\/a> \u2013 Nigeria, Chair Ms. Y. Holloway<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/committee-engineering-and-the-environment\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Committee for Engineering and Environment<\/a> \u2013 UK, Chair Mr. D. Stronati<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/wfeo-wurc\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">WFEO UN Relations Committee (WURC)<\/a> was confirmed as a board committee, USA, Chair Mr. R. Bou Diab<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/committee-anti-corruption\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Committee on Anti-Corruption<\/a> \u2013 Rwanda, Chair P.D. Kazawadi<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/committee-energy\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Committee on Energy<\/a> \u2013 France, Chair, J. E. Moncomble<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>A call for hosts of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/committee-engineering-capacity-building\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Committee on Engineering Capacity Building<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/committee-education-in-engineering\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Committee on Education in Engineering<\/a> has been made and the hosts will be determined in the first quarter of 2020<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/governing_documents\/WFEO_Strategic_Plan_approved_by_GA_2019.pdf\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">2019-23 Strategic Plan<\/a> was approved with a small amendment that includes recognition of the need to also focus on the celebration of World Engineering Day each year on 4th March, the founding Day of WFEO.<\/li>\n<li>The announcement of the WFEO Awards which included:\n<ul>\n<li>WFEO Medal for Engineering Excellence, <strong>Vilas Mujumdar<\/strong>.\n<li>WFEO Medal for Excellence in Engineering Education, <strong>Prof. Chuah Hean Teik<\/strong>.\n<li>WFEO GREE medal for Women in Engineering, <strong>Ms. Lydia Tansinsin<\/strong>.\n<li>Hassib J Sabbagh Award for Engineering Construction Excellence, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nea.gov.sg\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">National Environmental Agency<\/a>, Singapore.  The Agency has contributed the prize money of US 10,000 to the WFEO Project on Climate Change Education in Small Island Developing States, which is being planned for delivery during 2020.\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The hosts of future events in 2021 and 2022 were approved.
