\nThe Institution of Engineers, India (IEI)<\/a>, the national member for India at the World Federation of Engineering Organisations released a book: “Combating COVID-19: Role of Engineers and Doctors” at the 36th Indian Engineering Congress (IEC)<\/a>. <\/p>\n

This high profile annual event was attended by Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India at the Inaugural Session. The Valedictory Session was attended by and Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India.<\/p>\n

The book provides valuable insights into the work of engineering during COVID-19 and the new technologies and products that were developed in response to the pandemic. WFEO 2017-2019 President Dr Marlene Kanga, a Fellow of IEI, contributed a chapter, \u201cGlobal Engineering Innovations in response to the Coronavirus Pandemic\u201d (available in this link<\/a>) which showcased the work of WFEO national members and the work of WFEO in building capacity in this important area.<\/p>\n
