\"\"<\/a>The UNDRR\u2019s Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction<\/a> is undergoing a formal mid-term review to take stock of implementation and impact since its launch in 2015, understand what context shifts have occurred, and identify how to accelerate uptake to 2030 and beyond. The International Coalition for Sustainable Infrastructure (ICSI)<\/a>, with support from the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)<\/a>, led a multi-lingual consultation to elicit the views from the global engineering community. <\/p>\n

This publication<\/a>, released last March, is the only contribution from the engineering community that will feed into the formal Mid-term Review process of the Sendai Framework. <\/p>\n

The Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 aims to achieve the substantial reduction of disaster risk and losses in lives, livelihoods and health and in the economic, physical, social, cultural and environmental assets of persons, businesses, communities and countries.
