(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/wg-w\/WFEO-Cttee-on-Water_ENGINEERING_WATER_AND_FOOD_NEXUS.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">available here<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>This book, coordinated by the Vice-Chair of the CW, Armando Silva Afonso, and co-coordinated by Jos\u00e9 Manuel Gon\u00e7alves, both from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ordemdosengenheiros.pt\/pt\/\" target=\"_blank\">Portuguese Order of Engineers (OEP)<\/a>, had the generous collaboration of 33 specialists from 10 countries.<\/p>\n<p>The main chapters of the book cover the topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Climate Change and Food Security,<\/li>\n<li>Irrigation Engineering and Food Production,<\/li>\n<li>Water and Food Industries,<\/li>\n<li>Vulnerable Groups and<\/li>\n<li>Sustainability of Water Use Systems, including numerous case studies in Europe, Asia, Africa and America.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The WFEO Committee on Water hopes that this book can contribute to a better understanding and management of the water-food nexus, which is essential for humanity&#8217;s food security and the sustainability of the planet, highlighting the essential role of engineering in this context.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<b>For more information:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i class=\"fa fa-file-pdf-o fa-2x\" style=\"color: #115578;\"><\/i> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfeo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/wg-w\/WFEO-Cttee-on-Water_ENGINEERING_WATER_AND_FOOD_NEXUS.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" style=\"color: #115578;\">&#8220;Engineering, Water and Food Nexus&#8221;
